Ramón's Tacos y Tapas is a family's living tribute to one man's journey — from the coast of Spain to the streets of Mexico to the heart of Glendora.
From Avileses to a New World
Born in Avileses, Spain in 1950, Ramón served his country, built a construction empire, and carried an indomitable spirit with him when he moved to Mexico in 1981.
Learning the Trade from Within
Ramón took a job as a meat cutter at his wife's family taco shop — learning the craft from within, with a humility and respect for Mexican culinary tradition that never left him.
A Home Where Two Cultures Met
By 1991, Ramón and his wife had settled in Glendora, and their home became a place where Spanish and Mexican heritage blended naturally — in the kitchen, at the table, and in the stories told after every meal.
Opening in His Honor
Ramón passed away in 2009. To honor his legacy, along with the unwavering strength and traditions of their mother, Gricelda, their children and their families opened Ramón's Tacos y Tapas. Inspired by their father's Spanish heritage and their mother's Mexican roots, they created a menu that brings together the finest flavors and traditions of both cultures. Every dish is a tribute to the recipes, values, and hospitality passed down through generations, preserving the family's legacy one meal at a time.
The Table Is Always Set
Today, we serve guests on the sun-warmed sidewalks of Glendora Village, in our dining room, and in our private event space. Every dish is a small act of remembrance — and we are grateful you're here.
