Our Story

Ramon’s is a heartfelt culinary venture that encapsulates the essence of family and culture. Our story begins with Ramon, whose journey started in Avileses, Spain in 1950. After dedicated service in the Spanish military, he embarked on a path that led him to establish a thriving construction and development empire in the region. Despite facing challenges that eventually led to the business’s closure, Ramon’s indomitable spirit prevailed.

In 1981, a new chapter unfolded as he embraced the vibrant culture and flavors of Mexico. This love affair with Mexican cuisine was the catalyst for his pursuit of the American dream, propelling him to California. Here, he humbly began anew, taking on the role of a meat cutter at his wife’s family-owned taco shop. With unwavering determination, setbacks transformed into stepping stones. Ramon transitioned back to the construction realm, this time with a focus on projects within the food industry.

The year 1991 marked a significant move to Glendora, CA, where Ramon and his wife sought to provide their children with access to exceptional educational opportunities. Amidst this new environment, they continued to embrace a fusion of Spanish and Mexican heritage, infusing each day with flavors and traditions that echoed their roots. In 2009, Ramon’s chapter came to a close, but his legacy continued to flourish.

Today, his children, along with their spouses and children, pay homage to his memory through the opening of “Ramon’s.” This restaurant stands as a testament to his life’s journey, celebrating the harmonious blend of Spanish and Mexican cultures. We invite you to join us on a culinary expedition that honors tradition, fosters togetherness, and shares the flavors that defined Ramon’s legacy.
